SGL: The youth summer festival “Project Night 2022”

Partnership-building Activity

4-5 August 2022 | Sigulda, Latvia

The festival will support the preparation of Erasmus + & European Solidarity Corps project applications. There will be an opportunity to improve project writing skills, develop ideas and work on your project application.

The Agency for International Programs for Youth invites young people to the summer festival "Project Night 2022", which takes place from August 4 to August 5 2022 in the Sigulda castle quarter!

In the informal environment of the festival, young people will have the opportunity to improve their project writing skills and develop their ideas!

The festival will support the preparation of Erasmus + and European Solidarity Corps project applications. There will be an opportunity to get to know the essence of Youth Exchanges, Youth Participation Activities and Solidarity Projects and work on your project application.

Aims of the event:

- to promote the participants understanding of the Erasmus+ and European Solidarity Corps Solidarity projects and Youth participation activities, motivating the organization to develop and submit projects in one of the forthcoming project calls;

- to promote the participants understanding of the structure and development of Erasmus+ Youth Exchange projects, motivating the organization to develop and submit projects in one of the nearest project calls;

- to encourage Europeers to share their experiences and plans with the goal to stimulate their interest in other opportunities offered by Erasmus+ and the European Solidarity Corps;

- to promote participants understanding of the priorities of EU program projects. (Inclusion and Diversity, Digital Transformation, Environment and Climate Change, Participation in Democratic Life, Common Values ​​and Civic Participation).

In the informal environment of the festival, young people will have the opportunity to improve project writing skills and develop their ideas for the EU’s Erasmus+ youth exchanges and to develop project partnerships with young people from Latvia, Lithuania, Finland and Estonia.

This event is recommended for young people aged 13 to 30. Priority to participants without or with little experience in implementing or participating in Erasmus+ or European Solidarity Corps projects.

Young people supported by their organisation - 2 representatives from the organization are welcome to apply for participation in the event, at least one of them need to be at least 18 years old;

The festival program includes interactive workshops and educational games on Erasmus+ and European Solidarity Corps programs, masterclasses and project workshops on the project cycle, non-formal learning, Youthpass, Erasmus+ and European Solidarity Corps project exchange stories, Mess up stories and inspiration stories, thematic workshops and various creative and practical activities.

Participation fee

This project is financed by the participating National Agencies (NAs) of the Erasmus+ Youth in Action Programme. The participation fee varies from country to country. Please contact your National Agency or SALTO Resource Centre (SALTO) to learn more about the participation fee for participants from your country.

Accommodation and food

Unless specified otherwise, the hosting NA or SALTO of this offer will organise the accommodation and covers the costs for accommodation and food.

Travel reimbursement

Please contact your NA or SALTO in order to know whether they would support your travel costs. If yes, after being selected, get in touch with your NA or SALTO again to learn more about the overall procedure to arrange the booking of your travel tickets and the reimbursement of your travel expenses.
