Azerbaijan is the country with the highest percentage of youth in the Eastern Partnership. We invite you to explore Azerbaijan's youth sector and discover opportunities for a future partnership! The Land of Fire is waiting for you! :-)

The Study visit will provide the possibility for youth organisations, youth centers, youth workers and youth leaders from different Programme Countries of the EU’s Erasmus Programme to explore youth work reality in Azerbaijan and discuss opportunities for future cooperation.

The study visit will provide opportunities to meet Azerbaijani youth policy and youth work stakeholders in the capital city and in the different regions of the country.

Aims

  • to discover youth work realities in Azerbaijan
  • to explore opportunities for international youth cooperation with Azerbaijani organizations

Objectives

  • to learn about youth work realities in Azerbaijan
  • to share experiences and practices
  • to foster mutual knowledge and understanding
  • to promote sustainable contacts between the youth NGOs aiming at future development of projects within the European Solidarity Corps and Erasmus+ Youth Programmes

Participants

Study Visit will bring 20 participants, experienced youth workers from Programme Countries (i.e. EU and EFTA member states, Turkey, Serbia, North Macedonia) as well as NAs officers (i.e. representatives of the National Agencies of the Erasmus+ Youth Programmes)


Applicants' Criteria for youth workers

  • are representative of the youth organization or organization working with young people, who are able and authorize on behalf of its organization to create future projects and ideas
  • have basic knowledge about the ESC and Erasmus Youth Programme (experience in projects with EECA countries is very welcome)
  • have experience from minimum 1 international youth project which was realized within the ESC or/and Erasmus+ Youth Programmes (other non-formal education experience will be an additional advantage)
  • are prepared to participate in follow-up or evaluation activities organized by the National Agency or SALTO-YOUTH Network
  • are prepared to actively attend and contribute during the full duration of the Study Visit
  • have the ability to communicate in English

Program elements

  • Presentation of participants and organizations,
  • Presentation of the EU Youth Programmes with a special focus on cooperation with the Neighbouring Partner Countries of the European Union,
  • Presentation of the youth work reality in Azerbaijan
  • Visits to different youth organization and institutions.

Costs

Participation fee

This project is financed by the participating National Agencies (NAs) of the Erasmus+ Youth in Action Programme. The participation fee varies from country to country. Please contact your National Agency or SALTO Resource Centre (SALTO) to learn more about the participation fee for participants from your country.

Accommodation and food

The lodging, board and local transportation will be provided by the SALTO Eastern Europe and Caucasus Resource Centre and Polish NA.

Travel reimbursement

International travel costs as well as visa costs will be paid by relevant National Agencies or by SALTO EECA. After being selected, get in touch with your NA or SALTO EECA to learn about overall procedure to arrange the booking of your travel tickets and the reimbursement of your travel expenses.

Participants are entitled to receive a Youthpass certificate from the organiser, for recognition of their competence development during the activity. Read more about Youthpass:
