Training course: Small-Scale Partnerships for Inclusion

Training Course

19-23 June 2023 | Firenze, Italy

Are you working with young people from disadvantaged backgrounds? Come and discover how to use Small-Scale Partnership funding (from the Erasmus+ programme) for your inclusion work.

Discover the potential of Small-Scale Partnership for your inclusion work

In only 3 training days, you will learn how you can get EU funding for an international project with young people with fewer opportunities. Small-Scale Partnerships are a flexible project format for organisations that work on inclusion and that are new to the Erasmus+ programme.

So why not give it a try? Apply today!

We encourage candidates with access needs to apply: we will do our best to provide the necessary support.

What can you expect?

  • 3 inspiring days of interactive sessions and a practical hands-on programme.
  • Learn about the opportunities that ‘small-scale partnerships’ offer.
  • Discover how you can add an international dimension to your local inclusion work.
  • Get inspired by project examples and learn from good practices.
  • Gain project management skills (apply, prepare, partnerships, budgeting/financial management, reporting, etc.) to organise a quality project.
  • Get to know other organisations working on inclusion (for networking).
  • Try out to develop a project and receive feedback from NA/trainers.
  • Get to know available resources to make it happen.

Who is the course for?

  • Newcomers to the Erasmus+ programme and more particular to the Small-Scale Partnerships
  • People working already with young people with fewer opportunities (who are at disadvantage for different reasons: cultural, geographic, socio-economic, minorities, disability/health, educational…).
  • You need to be working in an organisation and have the green light of your organisation to do international projects.
  • You want to change something in your local reality (you have a rough inclusive project idea, something to work on)
  • Be able to have a conversation in international English.
  • From EU countries and third countries associated to the programme (LI, NO, IS, TR, SR, MK).

A few practical considerations

Participants will be standard accommodated in twin rooms with someone from the same gender (a perfect occasion to get to know a youth worker colleague better). There are a limited number of single rooms available in case you cannot share a room.

We will be staying in a nice hotel outside the busy city centre, but we have our working rooms in a former women’s prison in the city centre of Firenze. This will require some flexibility and discipline to move between places and make the most of our short but intense programme.

To prepare the course, the team will organise an onboarding meeting with all selected participants, on the Zoom platform on 7 June from 18h-19h CET. Thanks for keeping that moment free.

How to apply?

  • apply via this page by Sunday 7 May 2023, 23h59 CET (log in with your SALTO username or create one)
  • The Erasmus+ (Youth) National Agency from your country of residence will do a preselection (and pay for your travel once selected).
  • SALTO-YOUTH Inclusion & Diversity will compose the final group of participants based on the NA priorities and available places.

Your team

The course is run by 2 international trainers, Jessica Reinsch (DE) and Silvia Volpi (IT), experienced in inclusion and the Erasmus+ Youth programme, in cooperation with SALTO Inclusion and the Italian and German National Agencies for the Erasmus+ Youth programme.
