Transnational Training course on how develop Inclusion and Diversity management in ESC projects

Training Course

20-24 May 2024 | TBD, Italy

The Italian NA for E+ Youth and ESC organises a TC to drive more Inclusion and Diversity in Volunteering and Solidarity Projects, to develop participants' knowledge and competencies on work with a diverse group of young people.

This training course can be a space to develop and implement an effective ESC project for those sensitive target groups.

The main objectives are:

  • To develop some competences for international and educational project management when YPWFO are involved, and skills for working with a mixed group like the ability to transform and to adapt existing non-formal methods based on the specificity of a certain mixed group.
  • To support development of sustainable partnerships for ESC projects at transnational and local level.
  • To provide support capacity-building of professionals and practitioners involved in ESC projects, and to involve participants into understanding, discussing and confronting the exclusion/inclusion of a wide range of different (disadvantaged) groups of young people and the youth work with mixed groups (mixed groups include young people without and with fewer opportunities)

The TC is addressed to youth workers, projects managers and coordinators, supervisors and tutors, support staff, etc., who are active in youth organizations, volunteering organisations, youth clubs, groups of young people, etc., willing to work with other people at national and international level in diversity management and project management and want to plan ESC Volunteering and Solidarity Projects actions. It is requested that participants will have a basic understanding of and knowledge about these topics and a basic level of experience in these projects and with these target groups.

The programme is designed to enable to develop and realize a new and effective approach in implementing ESC projects involving young people coming from several diverse backgrounds, who face diverse challenges and obstacles, and who can be involved in ESC projects.

The course will be based on the principles and practices of non-formal education, and a diversity of working methods will be used for learning. The learning methodology is based on the concept of experimental learning, in an atmosphere where participants can learn from each other and feel empowered to improve projects’ quality related to foster young people with fewer opportunities involvement.

This Training Course is for 25 participants from European Solidarity Corps Programme countries. Arrival day and starting of the activity is on May 20th, and departure day is on May 24th.

This activity is funding by European Solidarity Corps Programme.
