An international training course for youth workers, youth leaders and trainers on coaching groups of young people who run a youth project within the Youth in Action Programme. How can coaching increase youth participation in the youth project?
During the last years, youth participation became one of the most important issues in youth work and youth policy, but also more in broader sense in society. Within the Youth in Action programme youth participation is emphasised as a precondition for active citizenship. Coaching is introduced as a way of supporting young people with the aim to increase their participation within the projects and in community/society. In the training course 'Coach 2 Coach: Coaching for Youth Participation', the idea is to focus on learning how coaching can be applied in supporting groups of young people who run youth project within the Youth in Action Programme. In other words, how coaching can increase youth participation in any of the youth project. This training course will give you the opportunity to work as coaches (multipliers) supporting peer training for young people involved in Youth in Action projects. Your objective will be to increase the quality and support of these projects.

Costs
This project is financed by the Youth in Action Programme. Being selected for this course, all costs (accommodation, travel, visa, etc.) relevant to participation in the course will be covered by the NAs involved in this project - except a participation fee which varies from call to call and country to country. Please contact your NA to learn more about the financial details, and how to arrange the booking of your travel tickets and the reimbursement of your travel expenses.
Participants are entitled to receive a Youthpass certificate from the organiser, for recognition of their competence development during the activity. Read more about Youthpass:
