In September 2013, “MilleniuM” Training and Development Institute will host the 9-day Training for Trainers on Intercultural Dialog, Inclusion and Diversity (ToT on ID). There will be 24 people working in the youth-related field meeting up to discuss the issue, representing 6 organizations taking part in the Youth in Action (YiA) program (Romania, Italy, Spain, Turkey, Latvia, Lithuania), and 6 organizations from East Europe and Caucasus countries (Georgia, Ukraine, Belarus, Moldova, Azerbajian, Armenia). In our globalized world, the issue of international cooperation, especially in the field of youth empowerment, is increasingly considered as a key question. Improving skills and exchanging views on means to implement projects on intercultural dialog, inclusion and diversity appears to be a major point in the training of youth workers. In that perspective, the ToT on ID aims at offering a time of reflexion for trainers and youth workers, to understang, exchange and discuss the concept of of intercultural dialog, inclusion and diversity, that has been developping in Europe for the past years. By focusing on the needs of the participants, and through the implementing of a wide range of educational means, the ToT on ID is thought as a way for trainers working in youth-related fields to develop and apprehend new methods of work and cooperation for international youth programs through non-formal education means.
