The aim of our project is training and empowering youth workers to become creators of better educational projects and activities in order to increase young people’s employment chances. Themes: youth unemployment and education through outdoor activities.
Discover, Dream and DO are three important steps in creating fulfillment, joy and happiness in life. We believe that these steps are essential for sustainable development and personal growth. Knowing who you are, your uniqueness and gifts, dreaming and acting in order to achieve your ideals are sources for empowerment. The aim of our project is training and empowering youth workers to become creators of better educational projects and activities in order to increase young people’s employment chances. To achieve our aim we have the following goals:  Increasing the level of knowledge and understanding of the empowerment process and non-formal education.  Understanding the concept of “employability” in a large European perspective.  Exploring/learning/testing/adapting/creating new tools and methods for young peoples’ employability and personal development.  Exploring and understanding how nature and outdoor spaces can be used in education and personal development.  Developing basic coaching competences.  Increasing motivation of youth workers in order to become stronger professionals.  Sharing and improving educational practices in the field of youth work. You are the right person for us if you:  are a youth worker or leader  are interested in personal development tools, non-formal education, Youth in Action projects, employability  want to become more professional, to equip yourself to involve the youth in an long term personal development process  believe in values such as: continuous development, volunteering, inclusion, self-determination, involvement, social responsibility, sense of belonging to a community, youth active participation and the power of group action  are over 18, speak English and are willing to be an active participant for the entire duration of the course.

Costs

This project is financed by the Youth in Action Programme. Being selected for this course, all costs (accommodation, travel, etc.) relevant to participation in the course will be covered by the organizers. Travelling costs are covered 70% according to the project characteristics. More details you will find in the Info Pack.

Participants are entitled to receive a Youthpass certificate from the organiser, for recognition of their competence development during the activity. Read more about Youthpass:
