A course for professional development of youth workers and youth leaders who are making first steps in youth work. The main aim of TC is to increase quality of youth work though development of participants’ competences.
Training Course “SAILing the Quality of Youth Work” is a course for professional development of youth workers and youth leaders who are making first steps in youth work. The training course will bring together from 22- 30 of March 2014 in Ukraine 24 youth workers and youth leaders, NGO representatives from Armenia, Azerbaijan, Bulgaria, Belarus, Estonia, Finland, Georgia, Germany, Latvia, Lithuania, Moldova, Ukraine. The main aim of the training course is to increase quality of youth work in project partners’ countries though development of participants’ competences and cooperation between partners in the field of youth work. The main topics addressed during the training course will be: •How to organize the youth work based on Non-formal learning approach; •The values, principles and methods of Non-formal education; •What is the experiential learning cycle; •The principles of effective communication in youth work; •The levels of responsibility working with young people of different backgrounds; •What are the different roles of Youth Worker and what is your role; •Effective tools and instruments of Youth worker (such as coaching and mentoring); •The realities and best practices of youth work in EU and EECA region countries; •The recognition of Non-formal Learning (Youthpass) and different learning instruments. TC will be facilitated by an experienced team of trainers using non-formal education methods.

This is not a training project of the network of YiA National Agencies, so applicants do not need to inform their NAs about anything. You only need to inform UYC and partner organization from your country (see the list in Info pack).
Also you need to allow UYC the permission to use photos, etc.

Costs

Accommodation, food and activities are fully covered by the organizers. The organisers will reimburse 70% of participants' travel costs (cheapest mean of transportation, only economy class, no taxi, under the agreed budget) upon presentation of original tickets, invoices and boarding tags. Maximum travel expenses which will be reimbursed depends on country you are travelling from. Check info letter to get more information.

Participants are entitled to receive a Youthpass certificate from the organiser, for recognition of their competence development during the activity. Read more about Youthpass:
