15-19 December 2014 | Naples, Italy

The scope of the Seminar is to share at European level the value of non formal learning into the whole education process of young and to understand how could influence the abilities of young to find a job thanks non formal activities experienced.
The Seminar is part of the 2014 Work Programme of the Italian NA and will be organised in Naples from 15 to 19 December 2014. It will involve 40 participants from Programme Countries. The Seminar is addressed to experienced youth workers, trainers, policy makers, teachers, experts, representatives of NAs. The language used will be English. The scope of the Seminar is to create an opportunity to share at European level the value of non formal learning into the whole education process of young and to understand how could influence the abilities of young to find a job thanks non formal activities experienced in their life. Non Formal Education is a valid partner of Formal Education. The Erasmus+ Programme is the results of this awareness. All together, Formal, Non Formal and Informal offer better opportunities for young in general, giving them more skills, competences, abilities to face the unemployment situation, developing their sense of initiative, promoting their European consciusness, tolerance and cultural diversity. The specific objective will be: • To deep the NFL to acquire competences useful on job market and life in general; • To reflect at European level how the institution take into account the value of Non Formal experiences/education respect to formal education; • How NFE is recognised, through which kind of validation systems? • To reflect on importance of NFE to get a job • To discuss on the recent European publication on recognition/validation of NFL and the step done respect to the Recommendation on EQF of 2008 and NQF • To discuss on youthpass certificate and self-assessment process; • To realize a video and a booklet with the consideration and the experience of participants on the topic. Metodology: working group, reflection group, slide presentation to introduce dicussions, role game know each others, visit. During the Seminar the participants will meet an organisation that works on this topic developing a structured dialogue project that represented a best practice on recognition of NFL.

Costs

This project is financed by the Youth in Action Programme. Being selected for this course, all costs (accommodation, travel, visa, etc.) relevant to participation in the course will be covered by the NAs involved in this project - except a participation fee which varies from call to call and country to country. Please contact your NA to learn more about the financial details, and how to arrange the booking of your travel tickets and the reimbursement of your travel expenses.
