Hands on Employability and Entrepreneurship in Youth Exchanges

Partnership-building Activity

23-27 September 2015 | Copenhagen, Denmark

Every youth exchange has a huge potential towards increased employability chances and entrepreneurship for young people.
Indeed a youth exchange can be a strong and effective tool to promote the sense of initiative and entrepreneurship of young people, and have a direct impact on their future employability chances! Are you interested in focussing on and deepening out these topics in your next youth exchange? This partnership building activity will provide you with support for partner finding, the project idea development and project implementation. A possibility to discover the employability and entrepreneurship dimensions in your projects! Besides attention given to Youthpass, also the Europass will be approached as a concrete tool. Background In recent years most European countries have had an increase in youth unem-ployment. This development has been further increased by the economic crisis in Europe and the rest of the world. The European Commission has stressed the ur-gent need to tackle the problem and encouraged the use of the existing mobility programmes, including the Erasmus+ : Youth in Action Programme, to increase young people’s employability and enhance their creative cultural and innovative capabilities towards entrepreneurship. This Partnership Building Activity will focus on developing youth exchanges that can be a learning lab for young people‘s entrepreneurship and employability. Aims To build up partnerships for future youth exchanges focussing on entrepreneur-ship and employability. Objectives • To develop international youth exchanges focussing on entrepreneurship and/or employability • To explore, exchange and discuss different ways how a youth exchange can contribute to employability and entrepreneurship. •Share and explore ideas, experience and areas of common interest in the in-tercultural settings • To understand the huge potential of Erasmus+: Youth in Action Programme, as a concrete toolbox to develop opportunities for young people • Learn how to document your skills and competences, as a way of personal and professional development (Europass and Youthpass) Working methods Different methodologies will be used during the Partnership Building Activity, such as workshops, presentations, exchange of experiences, as well as informal space
