“Time To Move” event promotes opportunities to work, volunteer, study and train in Europe to young people and those who work with them. Joint initiative of Eurodesk Ireland, Youth Information Services, Europe Direct Information Centres and Spunout.
WHAT: - Time To Move - a Europe-wide awareness campaign to promote opportunities to work, volunteer, study and train in Europe to young people and those who work with them. - Joint initiative of Eurodesk Ireland, Youth Information Services, Europe Direct Information Centres and Spunout, in cooperation with Euroguidance and EURES funded by Erasmus+ Youth in Action. FOR WHOM: 1. Young people interested in volunteering, studying, working, training and other mobility opportunities in Europe. Please note that young people under 18 can register for this event ONLY through a youth group/organisation and must be accompanied by a youth worker/leader during the event. 2. Youth organisations, youth leaders, information workers and guidance counsellors motivated to support and encourage, possibly in cooperation with other local organisations, young people’s mobility in Europe. 3. Youth organisations interested in finding out about the European Voluntary Service benefits and challenges from a peer perspective. WHY: - To inform young people about opportunities to work, train, study and volunteer in Europe - To inform young people and youth workers about funding for Youth and Volunteering activities in Erasmus + - To share the European Voluntary Service (EVS) experience from the perspective of ex-volunteers and hosting and sending EVS organizations from Ireland - To offer a space for discussion and networking to organisations and information networks interested in European mobility of young people and how to become more involved at a local level - Last but not least, to celebrate the 25th anniversary of Eurodesk in Europe and 20th anniversary of Eurodesk in Ireland! WORKSHOPS: - For young people: o European Voluntary Service from a peer perspective o Time To Move – Is Europe for you? o Working and training in Europe (EURES) - For organisations, youth leaders/workers and guidance counsellors: o (Net)working at a local level to support European mobility of young people o European Voluntary Service (EVS) - hands-on experience and good practice sharing TIMETABLE 10.15 Arrival, Registration, Tea/Coffee 11.00 Opening Speeches 11.30 Workshops – part one 12.30 Lunch 13.30-14.30 Workshops – part two 14.30 Eurodesk Anniversary Celebrations 15.00 Close
