The Erasmus Code - a program for everyone

Training Course

13-20 December 2015 | Estarreja, Portugal

The Erasmus Code – a program for everyone is a training course that will explore all the possibilities of the program related to youth and will support the promotion and quality of new ERASMUS+ projects for new young users.
It will also focus on creating new tools and projects to make more accessible and inclusive the program and to support the use of the program specially by new users. The new Erasmus+ program is arriving at its second birthday. Is it fully accessible to young people? Is the guide understandable? Can young people apply without professional support? If “the best way to learn is to teach” (Frank Oppenheimer), what is the best way to understand? Well of course “the best way to understand is to explain” (The Erasmus Code Team)! By explaining the program to new users, by simplifying and clarifying it for others, participants will gather a deep and well grounded knowledge of the Erasmus+ and all its possibilities in the field of Youth. With this approach we will not only create a group of participants with a high knowledge on the program but also a wider group of newcomers and possible program users empowered with the tools and knowledge to create new projects. With this project we wish to address 2 issues that new and young users, at a local and national level, encounter: - how to fully understand the program and the guide - how to find and build an international partnership/network It will explore how to create opportunities for youngster with fewer opportunities within specific projects or on a broader scale in the Erasmus+ program. It will also focus on how to create and sustain international partnerships and networks. Aims: - Improve the accessibility of the program to new and young users, promoting this way the inclusion aspects of the Erasmus+ in the field of youth - Create multipliers for the Erasmus+ - Youth in Action program at a national and local level. - Increase the quality of international partnerships and cooperation - Increase the quality of European youth projects - Promote the use of the Erasmus+ program by young people with fewer opportunities Objectives: - To provide participants with a clear understanding of background, priorities and structure of the program Erasmus + -Youth in Action - To create tools (guides, guidelines, video tutorials, promotion campaigns, etc) that can help newcomers accessing the program - To foster the future creation at local/national level of projects promoting the accessibility of the Erasmus+ for youth organizations, NGO's, informal group of young people who wouldn't easily access it - To make it easier for young people with fewer opportunities to access the Erasmus+ opportunities in the field of youth - To promote new partnerships between youth organizations interested in making the Erasmus + program and its opportunities more accessible for young people in different Eu countries
