This three-day conference focuses on bringing researchers and practitioners together, in order to have an overview of the potentials, researches and current tendencies of youth work and mobility programs in Germany and Turkey.
The German–Turkish Youth Bridge intensifies the student and youth exchange between Germany and Turkey and improves the possibilities of this bilateral exchange with specific programmes and by pooling the already existing measures. The goal is to create a better understanding for each other in both countries and to continue strengthening the relationships. The conference will be co-organized and hosted by the German-Turkish Youth Bridge, in cooperation with JUGEND für Europa (German National Agency for the Erasmus+ Youth in Action EU programme) and the Centre for European Union Education and Youth Programmes (Turkish National Agency for Erasmus+ Programme). Aims and objectives: This three-day conference focuses on bringing researchers and practitioners together in order to create an overview of the potentials, researches and current tendencies of youth work and mobility programs in Germany and Turkey. The conference aims at providing a platform for exchange and exploring the great potentials of youth mobility between Germany and Turkey and enlighten the impact of youth exchange towards a European identity. • Strengthening the idea of European Citizenship and cross-border mindsets for young people in Germany and Turkey and discovering the special potentials of exchange projects between both countries; • Exchange of experiences in youth information, networking and partnerships in the field of youth work; • Discussing and developing methods for fostering youth mobility. 24 experts, practitioners and researchers from civil society, governmental organizations as well as from universities in Turkey and Germany working in the field of youth are invited to share their experiences and ideas on (youth) mobility programs and the specific potentials and challenges between both countries. Relevant research results and best practice examples shall be presented and provide impacts to design common initiatives like new research projects, trainings and workshops. Date and venue The conference will take place from March 15 to17, 2016. Arrival 14th of March, departure 17th of March in Berlin. Participant’s profile • expert, practitioner or researcher in the field of youth work, youth mobility or German-Turkish relations • available to actively attend the full duration of the conference • able to communicate in English, the working language of the conference • strong interest in international learning mobility and German-Turkish cross-border relations

Costs

Accommodation and food will be financed by the organisers. _ German participants will not receive travel reimbursement but dont need to pay participation fee _ Turkish participants need to check with the Turkish NA conditions for travel reimbursment and participation fee.
