The aim of the project is through synergy of media education and intercultural learning to fight against extremism and xenophobia and promote intercultural understanding.
Intercultur(E)ality is a multi action project with the aim of fight against all kind of racisms, intolerance, extremism movements, through non formal education and media education. This project promotes also active tolerance and intercultural learning. Training Course will involve 9 association from LV,PT,EE,SK,MK,FR,ES,IT and one school from Bulgaria. Through the TC, this project wants to empower youth workers with competencies for designing activity on intercultural learning and media education based on NFE at local and international level. General aims of the project are: • combine intercultural learning and media education with the aim of fight against intolerance • increase competences of youth workers in designing and facilitate activities of intercultural learning • to promote media literacy through NFE • to make young people more active in the promotion of active tolerance and act as multipliers of this value • to strength the cooperation between youth association and participants in order to cooperate in the future on intercultural learning activities The Training will be focus on the use of non-formal education methods which will help in breaking prejudices and stereotypes. Participants will gain basic skills on how to design workshop and develop activity according to the needs of the target group and to the topic which they want to tackle, and also, how to overcome different obstacles and challenges which can arise during international projects in order to be able to organize international activity afterwards. The second part of the activity will have a Seminar approach, through non-formal methods each organization will held one workshop in order to share best practice following the topic of the project.

Associazione InformaGiovani was established in 2001. It aims at foster and promote human and civil rights, with focus on right to information and participation; defend social and collective rights; promote local and international volunteering as tools for social inclusion and active citizenship. The association runs activities of information, training and counselling, seminars on EU programmes, on social volunteering and international cooperation, focusing on inclusion and rehabilitation of young people who are or risk experiencing social exclusion. Since 2008 organizes youth exchanges and international workcamps, involving about 250 participants. It is accredited as HSC organization for EVS. Since 2009 is leading an informal European network for social volunteering and social inclusion and co-operates with Italian Juvenile Justice System to train youth workers and include young offenders in international activities.

Costs

During the activity period, each participant will be provided with food and accommodation by hosting organisation. All participants will get travel grant according to Erasmus Plus table on km distance.
