Spinning a Yarn (SAY)

Training Course

24 April - 1 May 2018 | Castle Saunderson, Co. Cavan, Ireland

Training course for those working and/or volunteering in Global Education who wish to learn how to use the principles of storytelling to effectively communicate with their target groups and wider audiences.
The course is focused on developing and improving competences related to how to use storytelling in the specific context of global education. The course is aimed at people working in the field of global education (trainers, activists, advocates, communications). The methodology will consist of non formal learning based approaches, practical workshops, sharing stories, global education activities and experiential learning (with an outdoors component). Reflective practice will also be a crucial feature of the project. The course is designed for participants with at least a basic understanding of global education. Also, the participants must be motivated and willing to learn, share, explore and discover their skills in order to use their experience later in their jobs and/or communities. This is the second edition of Spinning a Yarn. For more information on the project please check out: https://carminerodi.blog/2016/09/25/say-spinning-a-yarn/
