Training of Trainers is a training course designed for people who want to take the initiative to spread the holistic idea of peace, learn how to implement capacity building activities and support young people in working and dealing with conflict.
Understanding and Working with Conflict –Training of Trainers is a training course organised by Fundació Catalunya Voluntària in cooperation with European Intercultural Forum e.V (Germany), Gyumri Youth Initiative Center (Armenia) and Academy for Peace and Development (Georgia). It is part of the Understanding and Working with Conflict Training Series, now on its 6th year. This course aspires to enable 20 participants to assume more active roles in their communities, leading participative training processes based on respect, communication and intercultural learning. ToT will be held from 11th to 18th of March 2017 (including travel days) in Vilanova i la Geltrú (Barcelona), Spain, and will consist of 3 parts: the online training, from 21st January to 25th February 2017; the residential training, from 11th to 18th March 2017; and the follow up, where we will expect each participant to implement at least one multiplier workshop within their organization. Due to the limited number of vacancies, we are offering this opportunity to people with a specific profile. So, if you: - have conducted trainings, sessions or workshops yourself; - have the means and possibilities to conduct capacity building activities trainings within your organization; - have some experience working with young people; - reside in one of the 47 Council of Europe member countries (http://www.coe.int/en/web/portal/47-members-states); - have a basic background in peace building, peace education and conflict work (either through studies, trainings or any other relevant experience); - have an intermediate/advanced level of English; - are able to participate in ALL 3 phases of the ToT; - have interest in developing training and facilitation skills, specifically in the field of conflict resolution.
