3-10 April 2017 | Uzana, Bulgaria

The project will offer opportunity for professional development of trainers, policy makers, and project managers to improve youth work methods, to discuss youth policies, to develop youth work standards.
The training course will bring together in total 35 participants from Poland, Lithuania, Malta, Macedonia, Croatia, Romania, Greece, Bulgaria, Cyprus, UK, Portugal, Spain, Slovakia, Czech Republic and Itlay. With this call we are ONLY looking for 1 participant from each: Czech Republic, Malta, Slovakia, Spain, Portugal, UK and Lithuania. PARTICIPANTS PROFILE: Please mind that this Training Course is designed for EXPERIENCED trainers, youth workers, policy makers and project managers, willing to implement follow-up activities internationally and in their local communities. Participants should be highly motivated, able to freely communicate in English and work in an international team. We expect participants to be willing to develop their skills and become members of TOTAL pool of trainers. Project „Training of Trainers and Active Leaders” consists of three activities: TOTAL Basic ,TOTAL Advance (already implemented) and upcoming TOTAL Lab. General aim of the project is to empower involved organisations to implement non-formal education activities in their local communities and on national and European level. The project (and especially TOTAL Lab activity) will offer opportunity for professional development of trainers and youth workers, starting from basic skills, through development of training modules, training strategies, to improve youth work methods, to discuss youth policies, to develop youth work standards. Participants will work on current documents concerning support for capacity building of trainers, discussing and examining European strategies, they will look closely at the Competence Model for Trainers to work Internationally developed under the European Training Strategy in the field of Youth (https://www.salto-youth.net/trainercompetences) and its 6 competences, reflect on the role of self-assessment mechanisms and external assessment role in competence based approach. Participants will also draft their own recommendations as training policy papers. Proposals will be shared and discussed. Second part of this training will result in innovative training tools and training practices, which will be achieved with peer to peer learning during Open Space Technology.

Costs

Travel costs will be reimbursed at the bank account of the sending organisation after the Training Course. Malta, Slovakia, Czech Republic, Lithuania up to 275 Euro, Spain, Portugal, UK - up to 360 Euro. Accomodation and food will be provided by organisers. Participants don't pay any participation fee.

Participants are entitled to receive a Youthpass certificate from the organiser, for recognition of their competence development during the activity. Read more about Youthpass:
