EVS Evaluation Seminar

Seminar

25 April - 3 May 2017 | United Kingdom

This is a Erasmus+ KA1 Mobility of youth workers evaluation seminar on the European Voluntary Service. The project celebrates 20 years of the EVS programme and provides a platform for exchange of ideas and developing new projects in the UK and Europe.
The project programme is based on evaluating EVS projects implemented throughout Europe for both sending and hosting organisations. The seminar will give participants an opportunity to reflect, review and evaluate past cooperation, but also to expand everyone’s knowledge on EVS in general, within the Erasmus+ Programme. The meeting will aim at the production of a set of guidelines and recommendations for National Agencies over how the programme could be improved within the E+ framework and a catalogue of EVS good practice projects. The seminar objectives will focus on the revision of the past and looking towards the future: - Analysis and assessment of past EVS projects, looking at their strengths and weaknesses; - Lessons learned from Youth in Action and Erasmus+– what can be taken forward; - EVS project placements – how to make sure both young people and hosting organisations benefit from EVS projects; - Improvement of the quality of future EVS projects as well as to strengthening the capacity of participating partner organisations in delivering quality youth projects promoting volunteering (within and beyond E+); - Development of ways of promotion of EVS, informing young people about the opportunities it offers; - Promotion of evaluation of youth projects as a tool of self-assessment and of an increase of quality of future activities. In summary, we would like to provide space and time for reflection on the nature of voluntary work, and how it is managed and approached by different organisations and groups. Please note this is a call to fill empty spaces and the following countries are invited to participate: Belgium - 3 spaces Bulgaria - 1 space France - 4 spaces Germany - 3 spaces Hungary - 1 space Spain - 4 spaces Italy - 1 space UK - 3 spaces
