EMPLOYABILITY AMBASSADORS

Employability Ambassadors equips participants with a set of tools to effectively foster the employability of their target groups within their local communities. Thus, informative resources will be provided and social competences developed in it.
The main aim of the training course is to provide a set of tools that will allow participants to effectively foster the employability of their target groups within their local communities. In order to do so, the youth leaders and workers taking part in the course will improve their competences in three main areas: A. COMPETENCES FOR EMPLOYABILITY: The first block of sessions explores the competences that enhance the employabilitiy of young people: - Identifying key competences for the labour market - Streghtening key competencies for the labour market: o Teamwork o Effective communication - Certifying competences: Youthpass & Europass - Future trends in the labour market: competences for tomorrow. B . RESOURCES FOR EMPLOYABILITY: The sessions belonging to this group provide a complete set of current work, educational and volunteering opportunities at European and worldwide level. By the end of the training course, participants will be able to effectively convey a broad set of opportunities to their target groups, breaking the lack of training - lack of work experience downward spiral. o Formal education and scholarships o Internships & Stages o Volunteering opportunities o Employment opportunities o Entrepreneurship o Non-formal education. Short-term training & mobility activities C. COMPETENCES FOR FACILITATION & MENTORING. This block tackles with the competences required to effectively offer guidance and assessment to young people in the search for a job or in the development of their business project. Social competences, as design of training activities or group management, will be the backbone of this group of sessions: - Introduction to competences & youth work: o Understanding competences o Types of Education & Types of Educator o Fundamentals of non-formal education o European Training Strategy o Why youth work? - Competences for facilitation & mentoring: o THE PERFECT FACILITATOR & MENTOR: Identifying Competences for Facilitation & Mentoring. Self-Assessment of Competences. o DESIGN OF EDUCATIONAL PROGRAMS: Logical framework for the design of youth activities. Discovering motivations. Creating awareness. Planning and Goal Setting. Managing Progress and Accountability. o GROUP MANAGEMENT: Analysis of real life situations of Group Management. o WORKSHOPS: Design of training sessions based on competences for employability - Careers guidance: simulation. Out of the three main blocks there are more sessions scheduled in the training course. They provide the required framework to develop an effective learning space. A. FRAME SESSIONS: These sessions deal with aspects like improving participants capabilities for team work, presentation of participants, closing of the event, intercultural night, networking, etc. B. LEARNING PROCESS: These activities aim to analyze, reinforce and evaluate the learning process experiented by the particiipants throughout the course: Reflection groups, learning evaluation – Youthpass, etc.

This project is financed by the Erasmus+: Youth in Action Programme. Being selected for this course, all costs (accommodation, travel, visa, etc.) relevant to participation in the course will be covered by the NAs involved in this project - except a participation fee which varies from call to call and country to country. Please contact your Erasmus+: Youth in Action NA to learn more about the financial details, and how to arrange the booking of your travel tickets and the reimbursement of your travel expenses.
