Social Entrepreneurship, Youth and Vocational Education Forum: Towards Collaborative Practice 2018

Seminar

27-30 March 2018 | Liverpool, United Kingdom

A cross-sector event exploring the potential of youth work, vocational education and training (VET) and Erasmus+ to foster social entrepreneurship among young people.
The Towards Collaborative Practice Youth Community has been growing and inspiring the field of social entrepreneurship and innovation since the first conference burst out of Malmö, Sweden in 2015. A forum on social innovation and entrepreneurship, it grew in 2016 in the beautiful city of Lecce, Italy and introduced more participants from ever more countries to the ideas, impact and ingenuity that international social entrepreneurs are creating. Now it’s your turn to join the community in this next chapter of the forum, which seeks to grow and collaborate even further by sharing ideas across the Youth and Vocational Education sectors. The 2018 forum, taking place in Liverpool, UK will be a meeting and exchange, encouraging cross-sectoral collaboration and partnership building between Erasmus+ formal and non-formal sectors on everything related to social entrepreneurship and entrepreneurial learning. The conference will provide Youth and Vocational Education practitioners working within the field of social innovation and entrepreneurship with the opportunity for networking and sharing ideas, tools, methods, challenges and good practice, especially focusing on using social enterprise as a way to encourage and enable young people to sustain their entrepreneurship life skills. Exploring information on Erasmus+ and other opportunities that foster social entrepreneurship, the forum will also encourage creativity, innovation, participation, diversity and social inclusion of young people who participate in the Erasmus+ programme across the VET and Youth sectors. More than this, the event is but a starting point leading to development of an international community of projects, ideas and experiences of social entrepreneurship, with a particular focus on Erasmus+ opportunities. The forum will be an opportunity to discuss future pathways for social entrepreneurship, explore new opportunities and build a platform for cooperation on innovative projects and initiatives. Based on non-formal learning approaches which encourage your active participation with room for sharing good practice and expressing yourself , the forum will be an exciting mix of presentationsworkshops and field visits. More information about the project and previous editions can be found at http://www.tcpcommunity.eu/. Objectives: 1. To encourage cross-sectoral collaboration and partnership building between Erasmus+ formal and non-formal sectors; 2. To offer an opportunity for networking and sharing ideas, tools, methods, challenges and good practice; 3. To use social enterprise as a way to encourage and enable young people to sustain their entrepreneurship life skills; 4. To present information on Erasmus+ and other opportunities to foster social entrepreneurship; 5. To encourage creativity, innovation, participation, diversity and social inclusion of young people who participate in the Erasmus+ programme across VET and Youth sectors.
