Partnership-building Activity
3-8 November 2019 | Brussels, Belgium - FR
Context
Many youth organisations and institutions lack funding to further educate/train their youth workers. The Erasmus+ Programme offers a project type called Mobility of Youth Workers. This project type can be tailor made to serve the needs of your organisation and its youth workers, either in the form of trainings, study visits, job shadowing or other formats. By making an international project together with youth workers from other European countries you can get the funding you need to strengthen your youth work.
The PBA will provide the participants with the necessary skills and support needed to find partners, develop a project and even submit it in 2020.
Aim of the PBA
Provide a space in order to promote partnerships and develop quality Mobility of Youth Workers projects, to discuss and analyse the different activities eligible within the Erasmus+ programme, the quality elements of such projects and reflect about the role of youth workers and young leaders in the elaboration of projects.
Objectives
- To create an opportunity to find good and reliable partners to make Mobility of Youth Workers projects based on the organisation’s needs;
- To understand what is needed to plan a Mobility of Youth Workers project of good quality;
- To create a solid network of contacts and partnerships;
- To understand the impact and future social change a Mobility of Youth Worker can have for the organisation and within the local community.
Target group
25 participants
The partner building activity is open for voluntary and professional youth workers, working directly with young people on a local level. Participants should be able to make decisions regarding partnerships. The participant’s organisation/institution should be interested in organising a Mobility of Youth Worker project within the frame of the Erasmus+ - Youth in Action Programme.
Working methods
This PBA will be based on non-formal learning approaches encouraging the active involvement of participants, giving you space to take an active role, express yourselves, share good examples of practice and initiate new sustainable partnerships.
