YOUTH2020 - Finnish Youth Work Days

Conference – Symposium - Forum

13-17 January 2020 | Tampere, Finland

The Finnish youth field comes together every year for national Finnish Youth Work Days. YOUTH2020 is three-day programmed conference which consists of a wide variety of current topics in youth work.

YOUTH2020 gathers about 3000 youth work professionals (youth workers, researchers and policy-makers) to discuss, evaluate, innovate and develop their work among young people. Most of them are Finnish, but we welcome international participants to take part.

The event will aim to offer the participants most recent information and inspiration for one´s own work or support for development. YOUTH2020 will provide an opportunity to peer-learning, networking and sharing of best practices between the participants.

YOUTH2020 is organised by the Finnish Youth Co-operation Allianssi - the national youth council and the service and advocacy organisation in the field of youth work in Finland

The programme is produced together with other actors in the youth field. The National Agency actively participates to these days.

European participants have taken part in the Finnish Youth Work Days in previous years and have found it useful for changing practice and understanding better what Finnish and European youth work is all about.

The activity is equally supportive to both Erasmus+ Youth in Action and European Solidaristy Corps practicioners. It benefits also youth workers in general, with no link to the European programmes.

The preliminary programme can be seen here: https://www.alli.fi/youth2020

In addition to the conference programme the international participants will be invited to visits to local youth organisations.
