Short Study Visit on Municipal Youth work in Slovenia

Study Visit

12-16 October 2020 | Ljubljana, Slovenia

The aim of the study visit is to present good practices from municipal youth work in Slovenia and stimulate networking between participants in order to create new project partnerships between municipalities from participating countries.

Objectives of the study visit are:

• get to know how the process of establishing a national vocational qualification "Youth Worker" was implemented and what is the result;
• get to know how youth work is supported and implemented on local and national level in Slovenia;
• get to know how professional youth workers meet young people’s needs;
• get to know youth work practices in rural areas and small cities;
• get to know the organizational chart and working processes in Youth center Brežice which holds Council of Europe Quality Label for Youth Centre;
• provide an opportunity for networking with representatives of Slovene municipalities in order to foster future cooperation and develop concrete project ideas;
• get to know good practices of youth work in the field of working with NEET youngsters.

Participants will be accomodated in Slovenia's capital Ljubljana. The first full day will be dedicated to visit national and city's  organisations. On the second and the third full days the group  will comute with a comfortable bus to four municipalities in southern and eastern regions. One bus ride will not take more than 2 hours.

IMPORTANT: We are carefully following the development of the Coronavirus (COVID-19) situation. The activity will be implemented in accordance with the rules and guidelines of the Slovenian health authorities and with all required safety measures and adjustments. In case the epidemiological situation worsens, the activity will be postponed to a later date. Participants will be informed about any changes in due time. Costs

Participation fee

This project is financed by the participating National Agencies (NAs) of the Erasmus+ Youth in Action Programme. The participation fee varies from country to country. Please contact your National Agency or SALTO Resource Centre (SALTO) to learn more about the participation fee for participants from your country.

Accommodation and food

Unless specified otherwise, the hosting NA or SALTO of this offer will organise the accommodation and covers the costs for accommodation and food.

Travel reimbursement

Please contact your NA or SALTO in order to know whether they would support your travel costs. If yes, after being selected, get in touch with your NA or SALTO again to learn more about the overall procedure to arrange the booking of your travel tickets and the reimbursement of your travel expenses.
