How difficult is it to reach out to young people in a NEET situation?
And now, in times of COVID-19, the distance seems even further away!
With this course we want to look at possible new ways to create new paths towards reaching out and making contact with young people in NEET situation, focusing on online environments. It will not be a lecture or a “passing-receiving” moment. It will not be a MOOC. It will be an active and interactive discovery, based on sharing experiences and good practices from each other towards each other.
Therefore, the main aims of the training course are:
Target group:
It is important to call out that we aim for participants who are working (or are willing to work) with the target group of young people in a NEET situation and do have the aim to put the gained experience and knowledge into action (on a national or international level). This can be on a professional or volunteer basis as long as it brings benefits to the target group.
Time frame:
An important part of this course will be about working individually or in smaller groups, in between and outside the scheduled meeting times when we will meet online with all participants.
Besides, participants have a longer, 2-week implementation process for working directly on their individual (or in smaller groups) action plan on how to reach out to the target group and furthermore, allows to put the knowledge learned from the training course into practice. See the draft programme for more information.
