The “Practice reflections ” webinar will take place June 17th 3-5 pm CET. This is the first of a series of 3 interactive webinars leading up to the “Among Others” annual international seminar (online) Nov 17th -19th 2021

The long-term project  ‘Among Others: Non-formal learning in higher education institutions: Developing intercultural competence in practice’, is aimed at exploring how non-formal methods can help develop intercultural competence in higher education. 


Aims

The aim of this webinar is to give participants the opportunity to;

  • Reflect on and share examples of how recognition of non-formal learning & non-formal methods are understood/accepted/not accepted in formal education settings of the HEI
  • Reflect on the value of the NFL at the university and how it impacts both students and staff? 
  • Explore how academics can continue to apply the principles of the NFL in their educational activities in a meaningful way

Objectives

On completion of this webinar participants will;

  • Understand the impact of NFL learning and methodologies on their teaching practice
  • The benefits experienced by students as a result of participating in these methodologies
  • Shared examples of how to continue to implement these principles in their practice  

Target group:

  • Participants of the Among Others Community 
  • Those implementing Non-formal Learning in Higher Education and or developing Intercultural Competence projects 
  • National Agencies interested in participating in Among Others or are involved in E&T SNAC

This call is open for;

Among Others participating  countries: Czech Republic, Latvia, Hungary, Turkey, Ireland, Poland as well as participants who are implementing Non-formal Learning in Higher Education and or developing Intercultural Competence projects from the countries; EE, BEFL, NL, IS, IT, FR, SI, CY, LT, SE, CH, DE

Technical information:

The webinar will be held on Zoom platform and the link will be provided later for the registered and selected participants. 

We will use other digital tools as well, and an info letter will be shared with technical details and tips on how to get prepared for the webinar.
