PBA (Partnership building activity) for baltic countries and central Europe. „The Line“

Partnership-building Activity

26-29 June 2023 | Slovak Republic

PBA „The Line“ is activity focused on building of strong and reliable partnerships between countries of Central Europe (Slovakia, Czech republic and Poland) and Baltic countries (Estonia, Latvia and Lithuania).

Organizations in both countries are facing similar issues regarding participants and funding. Despite differences in national legislatives, rules of the European solidarity corps are same for every country, so organizations are bound by the same rules. This is very good basis for mutual understanding and exchange of good practice, project ideas and also eventual participants.

As the allocated budgets of countries differ and number of projects is not always balanced in regards to the budget, one of the goals of the activity is to create opportunities for organizations to create partnerships in which organizations can share the project ideas and use partners in other countries as coordinator and use sending and hosting activities more effectively. This will strengthen the cooperation among countries within Europe and add much desired EU added value to the projects.

Main goals of partnership building activity :

  • create strong partnerships for volunteering organizations with focus on four priorities (social inclusion, digitalization, environmental protection and participation)
  • reach common understanding of challenges within our respective countries, but also shared challenges offered by programme and external factors
  • share and exchange project ideas and good practice examples from different countries

Secondary goals:

  • increase number of mobilities between baltic countries and central european countries
  • opportunity to meet represenatives of National agencies of multiple countries and have opportunity to have discussion with them, have consultation of project ideas or receive feedback
  • opportunity to meet likeminded organizations, who work in field of volunteering from different countries in central and north-eastern Europe.
