International Training Forum, gathering some of the world’s most aspiring minds to identify world’s most pressing local and global problems, ideate solutions, develop international mobility projects to create interventions and to exchange best practices.
BECOME A GLOBAL CHANGEMAKER! The world's most pressing problems transcend national borders, calling for collective action and international cooperation. World's most aspiring minds join hands together with philanthropists, visionary political leaders, acclaimed practitioners and pioneers of grassroots movements from across the globe to identify local and global problems and create social-impact-oriented international mobility projects supported by the Global Social Change Ecosystem - Make Room. It is an informal process of dialogue and cooperation in order to equip changemakers from across the globe with the skill-sets required to create innovative solutions to some of the world's most pressing problems. CHANGEMAKERS' ROOM • 15.07.2018 - 20.07.2018 | LAGOS, NIGERIA This Changemakers’ Room brings some of the best minds from across the globe to address the most pressing problems in the areas of Climate, Education, Inequality and Health. Lagos, Nigeria is the perfect location to meet like minded individuals, ideate, build international mobility projects solving some of the most pressing issues of today. Participants at the Changemakers’ Room include an excellent mix of entrepreneurs, youth workers, activists, social workers, grassroots professionals, students and active citizens alike. Six days of experiential learning platform that enables individuals to collaborate in pursuit of solutions and create community impact projects. Make Room Europe is an independently organized Social Change Ecosystem creating and strengthening civil society's cooperation to drive positive social change across Latvia and Europe. Make Room Europe is a part of the larger global collaborative ecosystem, a unique platform for impact-oriented intellectual, cultural and personal interactions between civil society organizations across Europe, Africa, and Asia.

Make Room Europe's main focus is to foster social change - to build and strengthen strategic partnerships between organizations working to drive positive social change, notably within the sectors of health, inequality, climate, and education; build and develop innovative solutions in response to the identified issues; build, promote and foster strategic dialogue between civil societies and public authorities to encourage active citizenship and promote civil society's active engagement in creating and developing social change oriented policy reforms.

Costs

The Training Forum is organized by the support of the local well-wishers and organizations and coordinated by Make Room and AFRINYPE. The Participation costs EUR 500, but a limited number of scholarships are available for most deserving candidates based on a transparent previously created selection criteria. The participation Fee covers local transportation, accommodation, food, trainings and interactions as part of the Forum. Application process is open to all individuals aged 18+ with a passion to solve a locally relevant issue, but only 50 carefully selected applicants will be selected to take part at the Training Forum! Once you register, you will receive confirmation of registering! All applicants will be informed no later than June 19th, 2018 of the selection results.
