Study Visit: Working with young people in NEET situations in Austria

Study Visit

2-6 April 2019 | Vienna, Graz, Austria

During this Study Visit we will explore projects, initiatives and administrative institutions in youth and social work in Austria, working with young people in NEET situation. Main aims: exchange, inspiration, creating cooperation!

During this Study Visit (SV) we will explore how organizations in Austria work with young people in NEET (Not in Employment, Education or Training) situation and which strategies of prevention and support are offered on administrative level (e.g. in the framework of the Youth Guarantee).

Youth workers, social workers but also interested people on administrative level from different countries will explore the diverse field in Austria in the work with young people in NEET situation. The participants together with a facilitator and staff from the National Agency will travel to two regions in Austria and will get to know different projects and organizations. Besides that, there will be time for exchange and reflection.

During the Study Visit we will also have a look at European Mobility Programmes (Erasmus+ Youth in Action, European Solidarity Corps) and explore whether those programmes could be a tool to foster the inclusion of young people in NEET situation or even support them to overcome their situations. There will also be an opportunity to find international partners with the aim to establish long term cooperation for projects.

This project is realised in the frame of the "Strategic Partnership on Inclusion" among ca. 15 National Agencies for the Programme Erasmus+ Youth in Action and European Solidarity Corps. The aim of this Strategic Partnership is to foster the inclusion of young people with fewer opportunities in international mobility activities.
