The seminar aims to increase involvement of European volunteers into extracurricular activities of schools (primary and secondary) and kindergartens.

By organising this seminar we want to reach out to reach out to schools and kindergardens and inspire them to get involved in international volunteering projects under European Solidarity Corps programme.

European Solidarity Corps creates opportunity for synergies between formal and non-formal education. With this seminar, we want to encourage pedagogues, educators and other persons involved in everyday life of schools and alike institutions to look and find its new dimensions, where international volunteers can get involved.

The event for primary and secondary school and kindergarten staff participating in eTwinning and interested to involve European volunteers into extracurricular activities of their institutions. During three working days we will be focusing on on possibilities offered by European Solidarity Corps programme and eTwinning.

Seminar’s objectives:

  • to learn about possibilities of hosting European Solidarity Corps volunteers in schools and kindergartens;
  • to inspire new organisations/institutions to host European Solidarity Corps volunteers;
  • to show good examples of EVS projects in schools/kindergardens within big and smaller communities;
  • to build positive relations, trust and cooperation atmosphere among participants;
  • to create space for contact building and cooperation among schools and kindergartens;
  • to develop common understanding of quality aspects in hosting European Solidarity Corps volunteers, especially in context of non-formal education in formal education institutions;
  • to support building common European Solidarity Corps and eTwinning projects.

Participation fee

This project is financed by the participating NAs of European Solidarity Corps Programme. The participation fee varies from country to country. Please contact your NA to learn more about the participation fee for participants from your country.

Accommodation and food

The hosting National Agency of this offer will organise the accommodation and covers the costs for accommodation and food.

Travel reimbursement

Your sending National Agency will support your travel costs. After being selected, please contact your NA to learn more about how to arrange the booking of your travel tickets and the reimbursement of your travel expenses.
