European Solidarity Corps: Mindset and Solidarity

Partnership-building Activity

5-7 June 2019 | Dublin, Ireland

This is a contact making seminar supporting organisations in understanding what is the core principles underlying the European Solidarity Corps Programme

This seminar is aimed at training new Solidarity organisation and past EVS organisations to recognise the shift in thinking needed in implementing European Solidary Corps activities. We hope this seminar will help participants build on the concept of ‘solidarity’ and will learn the skills and knowledge to develop Solidarity Corps activity into their organisation.

This seminar will also be an opportunity for participants to meet other organisations engaged in both sending and hosting activities and to help support partner finding in the area of volunteering.

Objectives:

Help support newcomers understand the core principles of ESC and how it can be incorporated into your organisation.

Help support organisations previously involved in EVS transition into ESC.

Support participants to understand the differences and similarities for EVS and ESC.

Support participants understand the concept of ‘solidarity’ and how it can be applied to their organisation.

Help participants find partners for future ESC projects

Help participants gain knowledge on the key activities involved in ESC and provide a space to nurture the development of project ideas.

Provide a space for opportunity for ESC coordinators to exchange their experiences, share good practices and support each other in the transition from EVS to ESC.

 

Arrival for this training will be 4th June and Departure 7th June

This project is financed by the participating NAs of the Erasmus+ Youth in Action Programme. The participation fee varies from country to country. Please contact your NA to learn more about the participation fee for participants from your country.

Accommodation and food

The hosting National Agency of this offer will organise the accommodation and covers the costs for accommodation and food.

Travel reimbursement

Your sending National Agency will support your travel costs. After being selected, please contact your NA to learn more about how to arrange the booking of your travel tickets and the reimbursement of your travel expenses.
