EuroPeer Training Course

Training Course

12-17 November 2019 | Piešťany, Slovak Republic

A training course for young people who took part in Erasmus+: YOUTH IN ACTION projects or in European Solidarity Corps projects and want to share their European experiences with their peers.

The aim of the EuroPeer Training Course is to prepare participants for active participation in the EuroPeers network. EuroPeers are young people who have participated in the Erasmus+ / Youth In Action / European Solidarity Corps programme and want to share their European experiences with their peers. They inform young people in schools, fairs, youth clubs, cultural centers or on the street and talk about their experiences. They inform about the Erasmus+ / European Solidarity Corps programme and its possibilities as well as other mobility programmes. By organising or participating in all kinds of activities, like workshops or lessons, support NA events, and organising exhibitions, they motivate young people to become active and explore Europe.

Objectives

- to gain basic knowledge about mobility programmes in Europe.

- to gain/develop new knowledge and skills in project management, PR activities, chairing and presentation techniques

- to find practical ideas and tools how to teach others about Europe and Erasmus+ YOUTH IN ACTION programme/European Solidarity Corps

Social media will be used: e.g. live blog, pictures, audio, video, etc. to link with the outside world. Participants will exchange their experience and good practice and will be encouraged to undertake actions as EuroPeers after the training course (with support from the trainers after the TC).

Please note, this training course is not available for those currently volunteering under Erasmus+ due to double funding. If you are taking part in an Erasmus+ placement at present, please get in touch with your National Agency to find out more about other opportunties available to you. National Agencies will also be able to advise on ways you can get involved after completing your Erasmus+ placement.
