The training will be all about exloring activities in the wild: Climbing & bouldering Hiking / Caving Orientation reflexion on implementing the experiences made into various paedagogical contexts Outdoor Games (Creation and Sharing)

Into the WILD! : 27th Aug. - 9th Sept. 2020, Saxon Switzerland, Germany

A Training Course on Outdoor & Adventure Pedagogics, focused on climbing, combined with research and exploration on games in the wild!

Calling for participants from France, Germany, Italy, Spain, Slovenia and Poland!

WHEN?

27.8. - 9.9. 2020 – 14 days including 2 traveling days (27th August & 9th of
September).

WHO?

We are searching for participants who want to:

  • strenghten their connection and awareness to nature
  • get to know a wide variety of approaches from outdoor and adventure pedagogics & explore games in an outdoor context
  • know how to prepare and lead group activities in the outdoors
  • strengthen their social competences through working in an intercultural setting
  • experience and organize outside camping within a big group and problem solving
  • give input into the training, take part in the daily tasks of the training and share knowledge, skills and experience.

WHAT?

The training will be all about exploring activities in the wild:

  • Outdoor Climbing
  • Hiking and caving
  • Exploration of group activities in the outdoors and reflexion on implementing the experiences made into various pedagogical contexts
  • Outdoor Games (creation and sharing)
  • Orientation and rules in the outdoors (National Parks)
  • Camping and setting up project infrastructures in natural suroundings (setting up yurt, camp organisation)
  • Organize sleeping in natural caves
  • Cocreation & input from the participants from related disciplines (self organisation, skill sharing, making wild things happen)

WHERE?

We explore the German and Czech parts of the amazing Saxon- Bohemian National Park.

TRAINERS?

The training will be lead by trainers from the German Alpine Club, Jonglirium e.V. and the local climbers scene.

FURTHER INFORMATION

Some information you might find useful:

We can cover your travel expenses up to 180€ for participants from Germany, 275€ for the other project countries.

Accommodation will be in basic guest rooms and some days in beautiful nature (natural caves). Food will be vegetarian.

We will be working in community setting and some tasks (cooking, cleaning, inputs for the training) will be shared among the participants.

The deadline for applications submission is 1st of May 2020 (included). Confirmations will be published end of May 2020.

WHO ARE WE?
Jonglirium e.V. is a German non-profit organisation applying creative methods such as circus, theatre and music to work with disadvantaged youth and promoting workshops and exchanges for adults and people who work with youth or marginalised people. We focus on multidisciplinary, intergenerational and multicultural projects with artistic, pedagogical and socials dimensions - emphasizing the aspects of learning-by-doing and skill-sharing between people with differing abilities. In all of our projects the issues of sustainability and ecological footprints play a big part.

Costs

Participation fee

There will be a self-evaluated participation fee from 40-80€ for people with lower income than 1000€ per month & 75-140€ for others.

Accommodation and food

We will organise and provide accommodation and food. The participants only pay the self-evaluated participation fee.

Travel reimbursement

We can cover your travel expenses up to 180€ for participants from Germany, 275€ for the other project countries (France, Italy, Slovenia, Poland, Spain)

Participants are entitled to receive a Youthpass certificate from the organiser, for recognition of their competence development during the activity. Read more about Youthpass:
